Re: RFM Lock Divertor questions
I havent seen the paddle assembly so Im sorry I cant help you with its orientation( I just replaced the Lock diverter coil and spring. The plunger was getting hung up on the coil as the coil sleeve was worn) but I would recommend getting another paddle for a spare as RFM parts seem hard to come by I...

Quick Connectors
While working on my machine and rebuilding the flipper assemblies I have noticed that many of components wires are soldered to their connection points. I suppose this is typical Pinball practice. Why cant quick connectors be used? For instance using quick connectors for the EOS switches, Lamp socket...

1 bank drop target questions
I was trying the diagnose test to see what if any problems may be found in the machine. Just as a precaution as the machine seems to play perfectly. I kept getting this result... [Switch or up coil bad] and [Switch or down coil bad] I was in the middle of ordering spare coils for the machine (Just i...

Re: RFM Questions
Thx for all of the great answers. I have been to all of the Pinball 2000 sites that I can find and was probably the first buyer of the movie Tilt. (It was the reason I went out and bought Revenge From Mars) I have ordered many parts just in case something goes afoul with the machine. However I cant ...

Is Nucore shock proof?
I have just finished reading info on the Pinball 2000 machine from pinrepair.com Here is an excerpt that caused me to post this thread [The PRISM card was used instead of a CD-ROM or hard drive because it is shock and tilt proof. It is also less prone to environmental factors, is easy to transport a...

Video Documentary
I was wondering if you guys were documenting your creation of Nucore on video so that you might be able to sell a DVD sort of as follow up to the movie TILT.

Re: RFM Questions
Thx for your reply. I know about the utlities screen and see the Highscore options but I just dont understand them Not intuitive so to speak. I wouldnt want to mess up settings and not have any Highscores default or other. I have also been to the site that you directed me to many times (Even before ...

RFM Questions
I have now had my RFM for 3 days and have some questions that I cant seem to find answers to in the PDF manual or online. How can you set the High Scores to zero so that the scores in my house become the High Scores and can they be initialized? My Right flipper seems to be weak, what coil should I u...

Cooling fan/ Martian Solenoids
When should the cooling fan kick in? On power up or after the machine reaches a certain temp?
Are the solenoids that make the Martian figures dance standard or custom for this machine?

Software Updates
Looking up info on RFM I found that there were/are software updates and that they were downloaded to PCs then installed into the game via Laptop or PC.
Will the Nucore system have the same manner of updating software?
The reason I ask this is because I have a MAC and have never used a PC
