Re: Tell us what you would like to see.
I think it has a lot to do with lighting as well --I'm 6'6" and notice it whenever I'm playing with the lights off. When the lights are on, I can't really notice it. People have solved this problem for DMDs by making some piece of metal that blocks the reflection: http://www.pinballlife.com/ind...

Will there be a selected-"public" beta test (i.e., beta test application process) or has this already been done/is closed?
Thanks!

How can an opinion be wrong?mosten wrote: I'm interested and was trying to ask a legitimate question of the developers. You responded with your own opinion, which was wrong in several places.
Fair enough.mosten wrote: It didn't start out as a technical conversation. It started as a licensing question.

Re: Nucore software license?
Well, this is disappointing. I wish you had read what I had written without being so defensive. I responded to technical issues as well, but you are clearly focused on the open-source issue. Sure, the points you make about the benefits of open source are largely correct, but it is complicated and in...

Re: RFM Questions
I know about the utlities screen and see the Highscore options but I just dont understand them Not intuitive so to speak. I wouldnt want to mess up settings and not have any Highscores default or other. Absolutely. They're a bit weird relative to older machines that had reset high scores at an outt...

I have no affiliation with the poster, but if you live in the greater Boston area, there's someone selling one north of Boston for $150 here:

Good luck!

Re: Nucore software license?
Hey man, as a fellow potential user of this project to another, I couldn't disagree more... My question deals with the licensing and source code for the Nucore system once it has been released. Myself and several others that I know are knowledgeable enough and interested enough to contribute, but th...

Re: RFM Questions
I have now had my RFM for 3 days and have some questions that I cant seem to find answers to in the PDF manual or online. How can you set the High Scores to zero so that the scores in my house become the High Scores and can they be initialized? According to the manual it is under the utilities menu...

Re: Cooling fan/ Martian Solenoids
I think the martian solendoids are standard Just so happens I have the manual right here... AE1-26-1500 is the coil for the martians (left and right). This is he same coil as in the jet exit post and the trough eject. If you don't have a manual, download one from IPDB or buy one for around $15 onli...

Re: Bill Ung's RFM saucer mod
While I'm not affiliated with either product, maybe I can provide a pointer to Steve or Chuck to answer more quickly. Looking at this card, it looks like they're just using some PCI card as a breadboard and there's no connectivity/pins to the motherboard. It gets separately connected to the power on...

Driver board API/driver for Linux once NuCore is released?
While the emulator is unbelievably cool (and might save my rear in the event of hardware failure), I'm in the camp that wants to try to build a new playfield and accompanying game logic from scratch. Since I have little desire to use XINA for development, my question involves the availability of a N...
