HELP - Turnkey Nucore not starting
I purchased a full nucore system a while back and yesterday I went to turn it on and... nothing. I did the basic computer trouble-shooting and the power supply, hdd drive, video card are all working but the motherboard won't boot. How can I get this replaced or repaired? ANY help would be greatly ap...

Re: Help! - RFM launch button wiring
Absolutely PERFECT!
I was confused about the light and switch wiring. It's working beautifully now.
Thanks again!

Help! - RFM launch button wiring
Hello All, I'm swapping my SWE1 back to RFM but I lost my 'wiring guide' for the RFM launch button. My 'wiring guide' was just a scrap of paper showing where to plug int the various colored wires on the button housing. It's been a year since I swapped and I just don't remember which color wire goes ...

Re: Nucore Complete - working except vert hold - help
The OEM monitor works fine and I was gonna put it on eBay along with the original computer, prism card, etc. I'm in the Chicago burbs. Shipping the monitor would be pricey (it's heavy) so if you're local drop me a note.

Re: Nucore Complete - working except vert hold - help
The 'remote' pcb for monitor adjustment seems kinda flaky on my system. Only a couple of the controls do anything at all and I don't see a 'vert hold' on the remote at all. Perhaps it is called something else? I believe there are some other controls on the tube neck and some type of sync switch on t...

Nucore Complete - working except vert hold - help
Hello All, I just installed my Nucore complete setup (Nucore pc, software, audio amp, Arcade VGA) Everything works (system boots into game) with one big exception - my original monitor is now scrolling vertically - loss of vertical hold. I did not have this problem with my stock setup. I tried caref...

NuCore - to infinity and beyond...
Now that NuCore is close to being available... I wonder what the future holds. I won't pretend to know all the details about how it works but I would love to see it evolve into a tool for building new pinball machines on the P2K platform. Most collectors know their way around pinball hardware, it is...

P2K - settings for home use
Hey All, The factory settings for pinball machines are designed around using them as money-making machines in an arcade. Obviously, home use is a different environment. I know there are lots of settings that can be tweaked (making levels easier/harder, number of balls, number of extra balls, etc.) I...

Re: Thech Question: Flippers stall...
That 'nasty' sound is normal... It is the P2K 'knocker'. I also cringe every time I hear it. Flippers - I have not experienced your exact problem but I have seen flipper coils over-heat after long play sessions. That might be something to look at. Test screen drop downs - My test screen has shown dr...

LED replacement lights
Hey All, I would like to replace a few bulbs in my RFM and SWE1 with LED's. I have a few spots that continually burn out and are a pain to change. I know others have done this and I was looking for a recommendation on a good vendor / brand for the LED lights. Any thoughts/opinions on using colored L...

Re: Trouble-shooting the main opto switch
Well, I got the opto fixed. After extensive testing and futzing around, I figured out that both the emitter and receiver were not working and had never worked. My SWE1 conversion kit was NOS and had not been used until I installed it - so it looks like this problem slipped past quality control many ...

Re: Trouble-shooting the main opto switch
Hey Guys, Thanks for the info! I tried looking at the opto emitter with my sony 'nightvision' video camera. I could not see any light. I also tried shining the sony's nightvision light (infrared?) onto the receiver but I could not get the switch to activate. I could not get my video camera down tigh...
