Jukebox: playlist management
I'm wondering if adding some functionality around the jukebox would be good. I copied mp3 files that I had collected over the years and a few of them doesn't sound so great. Wasn't sure how I could go about deleting them but if there was a way via the nucore menu to delete files in the jukebox, that...

Here's the original source. It's in French so translate it with google or whatever is your favorite translator.

Re: Connecting a LCD to the original P2K hardware
Bill of materials: 1 - VGA cable 1 - bread board (just big enough to put 1 chip and 3 connectors) 1 - 7402 IC 3 - .100 headers (you choose if you want key pins or not) (1 for input, 1 for power+gnd, 1 for output) 1 - 10k resistor 1 - 14 pin DIP IC socket (optional) 1 - Jamma CGA to VGA converter PCB...

Re: Updating program code
Ah ok. I knew the download file was nucore1.1 but then saw 1.01 and thought it didn't work.
Thanks for the clarification.

Re: Updating program code
That's what I did. I've since deleted the log file. Is there a way to know what version I'm running? I see a full screen graphic that said v1.01 Star Wars but not sure if that's the nucore version. I'm guessing I should see a v1.1 nucore somewhere.

Updating program code
Do I just put the zip file onto a USB stick? Or do I extract the contents onto a USB stick?

Re: Connecting a LCD to the original P2K hardware
Don't have a schematic but it's very simple. It's just a 7402 (NOR gates) chip. Hook up the ground and power (+5V). The HS and VS signals from the video output goes into the inputs. The output had a 10k resistor in series and connected to the CS pin of the CGA to VGA converter. That was it. As a cab...

Mine didn't come with one, lol. Yeah, I bought one of the big ones and it didn't fit. Surprise!

Recommendation for a CPU fan?
What's a good CPU fan to use that will fit in the custom case?

Re: Hmm, what to do...
I bought a LG 22" monitor and it was a fit as well. Model is W2242TQ-BF. Bought it cuz it was cheaper than the Acer and has 2ms response time.

Hmm, what to do...
I bought a Samsung LCD sometime ago and installed it with GLM's brackets. Did the big teardown and everything. Last thing was to put the glass back on and it didn't fit. The monitor's bottom is just big enough to block the glass. Damn, @$#$#! Flipped the monitor upside down and got it to fit. Great ...

Re: Connecting a LCD to the original P2K hardware
Update: I got a LCD monitor to work with the original P2K computer. I bought a CGA to VGA converter off ebay (made in Taiwan?) and I had to combine the HS and VS signals and invert them with a 7402 NOR gates IC. The output had a 10K resistor on it. Connected it all up and it worked like a charm. Now...

Re: Connecting a LCD to the original P2K hardware
If you take a look at the pin layout on the p2k pc ( http://www.pinrepair.com/pin2000/index.htm#monitor ) pins 13 and 14 are the HS and VS signals. Which one should be connected to the S pin on that 5pin CGA connector on the converter card?

Re: Connecting a LCD to the original P2K hardware
Thanks Cyclo, the video out port on the original P2K pc is 15 pins. Can I just get a VGA breakout cable and connect it to the right pins? When I look at the 15 pin layout, it's pretty much the same as the VGA layout although the actual signal isn't.
