Re: Monitor Options for Nucore
Also they are measured a bit differently. Most 19 inch computer monitors will measure a full inch smaller than a 19 inch arcade monitor. So best bet would be to look for a 20 or 21 to 'shoe horn' in there. Personally, I still can't recommend enough sticking with a 19 inch arcade monitor. They are di...

Re: POLL: Pay for a video converter or replace monitor?
One of the reasons you most likely didn't get any complaints (and the reason some seem so quick to jump to LCD) is that most people don't know how to adjust colors on a monitor to begin with. They just crank up the brightness/contrast to be as bright as possible (just like most tvs are misadjusted ...

Re: Fantastic upgrade of images with video amp
Thanks Mickster. Mine is a Wells Gardner monitor, any idea which caps I should change? Clay's site has a list of caps but doesn't say where they on the boards. If you look closely at the board itself, it will be silkscreened next to the cap what cap it is. Also the board most likely will have a sma...

Re: Fantastic upgrade of images with video amp
With what you are describing, most likely the picture tube is fine. Your monitor chassis just needs a cap kit. The fact that the monitor can warm up and look better is the clue. If it was the tube, it wouldn't change with the longer that its on. A cap kit is only about 7 dollars and someone that can...

Re: POLL: Pay for a video converter or replace monitor?
Yep I saw it, but did not get a chance to play it. Black level would only be affected by the monitor adjustments and the type of monitor displaying the image. 1) LCD con -- Absolutely horrible black level on most LCD's. This ruins the hologram effect in RFM. What happens instead of seeing individual...

Re: POLL: Pay for a video converter or replace monitor?
Yes I did, but I didn't get a chance to get to close to it or to play it at expo. The few times that I was around when it was up and running there were people playing/checking it out. One thing about incorrect black level is that it will show up in pictures/videos. I will take some time to checkout ...

Re: POLL: Pay for a video converter or replace monitor?
Why not choose a motherboard that has a video card that will sync down to CGA frequencies? Either that or buy video cards that can be added that have this capability. Here are a couple of cons you missed. 1) LCD con -- Absolutely horrible black level on most LCD's. This ruins the hologram effect in ...

Re: Sound Options
This is a great thread. Everyone please post your opinion. Options are: 1) We create an I2S interface from the pc to the existing sound amp (currently inside your computer case) You would need your existing amp but the interface would be cheap. 2) We create a plug and play wiring harness compatible...

The spring works perfectly and has no ill effect on the mechanism. BTW that was a suggestion from borygard (sp?) on RGP so the thanks should go to him =)
Also as far as I know, that coil sleeve is not available anywhere.

Actually Star wars does have 2 drop targets. They are at the entrances of the two ramps on the game.

Does the jukebox only play audio files at this point or does it play video also?

gametrailers history of star wars games
Gametrailers has started a series on the history of star wars games. This would possible be great video to run in a loop on a SWEP1. Also it reminded me of all the remixes of different star wars music themes. It would be great to even have just that music rotating play on a SWEP1.

unrealistic program request
Ok, this is a little far out, but hey a guy can dream. Depending on how easy it is to pop out of the pinball os, you could have a video player that would play some off the pinball 2000 promotional videos. Sort of like a presentation system for the pinball machine. Sort of like the MAME intro videos ...

1) a software setup so that it can easily switch between SWEP1 and RFM (and possibly all the different versions of software) for the guys out there with just one cabinet. 2) Possible tournament settings lock with webserver uploading so that you could have a pin2k tournament online. 3) Possibility of...
