Re: Nucore Suspending Sales
I just got a SWEP1 that I want a Nucore in. I can't believe how bad the timing is. Pinballlife has the amp and chassis but from what I understand, I'm going to need the USB card to properly run my machine, correct? I'm perfectly capable of building my own PC. Is the forum classifieds my only hope? ...

Re: Nucore Suspending Sales
Chuck / Don,
Hopefully these variables don't keep you guys out of the game too long. I have not regretted being an early adopter of Nucore, and it would be a shame for others to miss out on such a fantastic solution in the future.
I cannot thank you guys enough for all the hard work.

Re: WTB: SWEP1 ROMs
I rebuilt a project SWEp1 that I purchased from an auction and brought it back to life. I ended up getting the rom card w/ ROMS from http://www.pinballspareparts.com.au . Just go to the Nucore / Pinball 2000 section on the left and you should find what you're looking for. Damnit, just noticed that t...

Re: A most interesting bit of news.
Well, I finally got the poor man's expo info (pinballnews.com). Wizard Blocks was being pushed ahead, Planetary Pinball seems to have thrown a wrench in the process just because details aren't secured. It isn't Planetary Pinballs fault but the project is on hold right now. Chuck suspects that the p...

On-line Tourney?
So... Now that Jim is no longer going to be hosting the RFM on-line tourney I was wondering if we should be discussing what to do going forward???
Would be a shame to see all that work Chuck & Don did on the NIC support not be put to good use!

Re: Holopin?
Not sure if you know this, but the 'Holopin' project was nothing more than a lower No Good Gophers whitewood with an Amiga monitor cobbled to the top of the cab. There was no working software, it was just an image George had from one of his previous video game designs used to prove the concept.

Re: My Nucore Installation - Ground Loop Noise Solution
I've ordered a ground loop iso as well in hopes that I can get away with a single PSU as well. I'll post my results once it arrives. Doug Just thought I'd report back with an update. Received the ground loop iso that I bought off Ebay for $1 (Plus $8 shipping), installed it last night and I now hav...

Re: Coming soon!
Effin' RIGHT ON!!! I miss having my RFM hooked up to the tournery now that I'm on Nucore, but now that will be solved soon enough.
I don't care what anyone else may tell you... you guys rock!

Re: Source for NOS CGA monitors!
If you're going to try using the new tube on the original chassis the only thing you really need to check is the resistance of the yoke... (new vs. old) If they are the same or very close you should be ok. If they are not, it won't work unless you swap the yoke from the original tube to the new one,...

Re: Original monitor woes
Maybe the instructions I posted should be added to an installation sticky somewhere when using an AVGA?

Re: Original monitor woes
Doug, Thanks for the info. My tests using the H-only sync did not go well; the WG monitor seems to need both H and V sync. I tried the polarity switch but it caused a scrambled image on the screen so I put it back the way it was. I will try it again tonight. In other news, I have a possible replace...
