Re: RMF sound issues, only during Mothership Multiball
I did see that other post, but it didn't sound like my problem (which only happens occassionally during particularly 'intense' Mothership Multiball modes). I don't think the machine has to be on for any particular amount of time before this happens, but I wasn't really thinking about that possible c...

RMF sound issues, only during Mothership Multiball
My Nucore RFM (with a computer I built) has been running extremely well. I've got over 700 games on it since the Nucore installation, and about all I can report negatively is that twice the entire machine reset during Martian Bowling (which is a known bug in the RFM code, not a Nucore problem). Supp...

Re: Best LCD Monitor to buy for Nucore?
I'm not going to proclaim that it's the best, but I'm using this one that I got from CompUSA (Tiger Direct): http://www.compusa.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1717286&CatId=2775 Also, if you can use a hack-saw and a drill, you can make a mount for the LCD panel in about 20 m...

Different settings for each player
Here's an idea that I don't think would be too difficult to incorporate, and (I think) would be very cool. How about saving three different sets of game settings? Things like ball save time, extra ball rules, number of hits to get past modes, etc. They could be saved as 'easy, medium and difficult' ...

Re: Latest Nucore Program File V2.0 - Updated 12.12.10
I give up... how do I access the 'bulb error override' to let Nucore know where I have LEDs installed so it won't show them as bad bulbs anymore?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Any issues with hard shut down?
Thanks for the quick response.
I did a little asking around and the concensus seems to be that all modern hard drive properly 'park' on shut down OR power failure, so that part is probably no worry either.
I'm still really happy with my RFM running Nucore.

Any issues with hard shut down?
Just wondering if there are any long term issues with always turning these computers off via power deprivation, instead of letting the PC go through a more normal shut down routine? I'm thinking mostly of the mechanical hard drives most of us are using. Don't those 'park' themselves on a normal shut...

Nucore installation, user manual uppdate suggestions
I picked up my Nucore basic package yesterday from Terry at Pinball life and installed the software onto my computer last night. Overall, things went pretty smoothly, but I did run into two problems that I think could have been avoided with some simple updates to the (already very good) user/install...
