Showing gameplay from the latest build.

Enjoy
It's great to see the emulation working so well! I'm not as familiar with RFM so I can't comment on whether it looks 'better' but it looks GREAT!

Thanks for posting the video!

Hrm. How many completely non tech people can reasonably be expected to use a product like this? I know there are plenty of pin owners who don't know a transistor from a big sister but those are the same guys who would be paying someone like us to set this up for them. I think Chuck's point is that ...

Re: New / Customized Games

So while it's true our software won't help you make a new game from scratch as Chuck said, our product in fact will give anyone a great advantage towards achieving this, since they'll only need to write the software. If things go well with our product, I can see us possibly working on a game develo...

I have RFM. I refuse to own the SW because it has something to do with the crappy 1st trillogy. I try to refrain from acknowledging they exsist. Ouch. From a guy with Jedi in his name too. We're almost nine years out from Episode 1, it might be time to "embrace a larger view of the force."...

New / Customized Games

I was wondering what the current thought is on the difficulty of modifying or creating a new pb2k game with this system. Are the 'roms' in a binary format, or is there some level of ability to modfy/replace them? Obviously we don't have source code or a development environment, but would this produc...

Sounds Great! Are you referring to frame rate issues? I can imagine the more powerful computer could keep up better. What frame rate is used in p2k video? Related, are the graphics used in the games 'bitmaps' or are they rendered on the fly? I seem to remember hearing a ToPcast about using real 3d m...

Remote management

I think a great feature would be remote management of the system. It'd be great to be able to open a terminal (SSH) from another machine on the network. While performing diagnostics I could have the playfield glass off, and look at my laptop screen for details of the system status.

Andrew, you really need to find an RFM playfield. I do like episode one but rfm is way better IMO. Plus getting a spare playfield and switching back and forth will get a WHOLE lot easier once we are done. A check of ebay yields no results at the moment... this project of course, could raise the dem...

Which PB2k do you own?

What pb2k machines do you own? Personally, I just own Star Wars. I recognize that it is thought of as the lesser game, but I am a fan of Star Wars generally. I find that out of my four games (Firepower, BK2K, STTNG), that the Star Wars is the most popular for guests. (I am convinced it's the PB2k sy...

With "limited" write cycles of 100k writes I don't see that as being a big issue Depending on the IO details of their implementation it could be a major issue. If they are going heavy on disk IO a thumb drive may not last long at all. Maybe we should make it a 'request'. Design the system...

My love of Pinball goes back to a magic Christmas when Santa brought a Flash Gordon to our home! Later I saved up paper route money and bought an F-14 tomcat, which I much later (when I was in college) sold to buy a BK2K... and yes, I had it in my dorm room! BK2k was the first one I 'fixed' up (most...

I like buying just the parts - I've built a MythTV box, etc. A benefit to doing this is that it should encourage you to make PB2k8 work on a wider range hardware. I know you can't support every setup, but if you supply everything there is a danger of creating a stove-pipe solution ... which is of co...

I voted "Need more Details"... cost, what comes with it (in this case I think less is more). Presently my machine works fine, but I am concerned about the future.
