Re: RFM Questions

Taco I think you dropped some lettuce... If the EOS switches turn out to be a non-issue you may want to try a flipper rebuild kit from Pinballlife.com. Sometimes when the flipper hold doesn't move the flipper in test it is because of a physical restriction on the mechanics of the flipper. I.E. gunke...

Re: Update 06.10.08

That always bothered me, I thought it should have read something like this:

"This page intentionally left mostly blank..."

Because as soon as they put text on the page it was no longer blank.

It is safe to say that I was very impressed. I think alot of people didn't get a chance to play because some tall guy with curly hair was hogging the machine all day... Graphics looked great. The LCD made a huge difference. I noticed some things that I had never seen before in the game. Very crisp v...

I am sure with some negotiation we could get the LCD's for less than the $300 listed on the site if we did a group buy.

I like the idea of using the action buttons to launch the ball. I would use this feature.

I saw a cool mod done to the Manual plunger on a SW:EP1 which a launch button was modded into the Manual plunger housing. The RFM playfield had to be modded with one of the autolaunch mechs from a stern pinball (Like ONE from TSPP) so you could choose to manually plunge the RFM or Press the button a...

Legal Issues

Hey Chuck and Team, I don't want to draw attentenion to the elephant in the room, but have you run into any legal issues with WMS, Gene, or Wayne? I would think this product would fall into the category of Aftermarket replacement parts, as long as you are not modifying the original game code, but I ...

Ok I did some more searching and found: http://www.columbia.edu/~ariel/acpi/acpi_howto.html#latest_driver_and_utils This pretty much lays out what can and can't be done with ACPI it looks like most of the functions that We would need are built into the Linux Kernel. (assuming it is a Fairly recent r...

http://sourceforge.krugle.com/kse/projects/Od00n0D#4 I think the fanspeed info and core temp are contained within the ACPI tables and I believe it can be accessed without too much trouble using some of the code from the above link. Hope this helps I didn't do any programming when I was in the biz......

It works surprisingly well.

Glass side up.

The Knobs that help support the backbox keep the translite from sliding down. So no holding is necessary.

Hey Kenbo,

I have always found it easy to just take the Translite and set it under the monitor when the glass is off. You can easily read the monitor even though there is artwork on the glass.

But a second monitor would be pretty cool.
