Nope, didn't work. The clock always goes to current time minus 14 hours, current year plus ten.
Perplexing but ultimately unimportant.
Thanks,

Re: Jukebox (Loading Songs)
Chuck, Can you please post the linux instructions for deleting tracks from the jukebox? I loaded in a track of a 300Hz tone for L/R testing and I realized there is no way in the interface to get rid of it! I poked around in the directories from the linux prompt but didn't find where you are storing ...

Re: RFM game clock wacky?
Chuck, I reset the clock, selected "Reset Machine" from the RFM menu, and the clock is crazy again. Interestingly, it is only the HOUR and the YEAR that get messed up - everything else is correct! Re-reading your last post on this, I will do the following: 1. Power up 2. Go to the RFM menu...

Re: RFM game clock wacky?
Chuck,
I see a J2 and a J3 but J1 appears to be the USB connector. J3 has a jumper on it, J2 does not.
Thanks,
-JB

RFM game clock wacky?
Hi, Not a big deal, but can anyone tell me why the time/date settings in my RFM Nucore machine always go to some arbitrary date in the future, like 2130? I have a Foxconn motherboard in a Nucore-supplied computer. The computer's BIOS has the correct time, I guess it is not propagating across to the ...

Kudos for RFM enhancements
I have been exploring the modes in RFM because I keep seeing subtle differences between the Nucore version and the old version. Good differences. For instance, the progress indicator during multiball - what a great addition! And of course the Breakout game. Reminds me of STTNG or Major Havoc. I can'...

Re: Source for NOS CGA monitors!
Tests complete; it works. The chassis board is not quite as high quality as the original and has fewer adjustments/controls, and no remote adjustment board like the Wells Gardner. In fact, it looks like the old chassis board and neck board could be used with the new tube - that will be an experiment...

Source for NOS CGA monitors!
OK, I took a chance and bought a $165, new old stock, 19" CGA arcade monitor from a guy on Ebay (I don't know how many he has left). It came with no metal frame, just a new picture tube from 2007 and the circuit board and wires. Good news is, it will fit in the P2K monitor frame and the head of...

Re: Original monitor woes
SUCCESS! The polarity switch Doug spoke of was the answer. A bit of adjustment on the horizontal osc and the horizontal size and the image is perfect. Since I am also using the Ultimarc video amp (boosts the 1V video signal to 5V), the image was too hot, so I also adjusted the intensity down on the...

Re: Original monitor woes
Chuck,
I would LOVE to find a 19" VGA CRT that fits inside the P2K head and the old monitor frame! Got any leads?
Seriously, I should have seen this coming; I would have gone on this monitor hunt a year ago. Now there is nothing left!

Re: Original monitor woes
Doug, Thanks for the info. My tests using the H-only sync did not go well; the WG monitor seems to need both H and V sync. I tried the polarity switch but it caused a scrambled image on the screen so I put it back the way it was. I will try it again tonight. In other news, I have a possible replacem...

Re: Original monitor woes
Due to a lack of available replacement CRT monitors, I too had to rebuild my original. After a cap kit and replacement of the transistor and resistor, mine still had the horizontal-shift problem. I asked "The Real Bob Roberts" about it and here is what he said: "Width problems are not...

Re: POLL: Please give us your 2 cents about a Nucore case
Let me guess - the legal requirements dictate that rather than dump the ROMs into some other storage device, they need to be used to run the game at all times.
Am I close? I hope not.
