Re: nucore Future Pinball and/or Visual Pinball Support

I'm expecting to go with a 32" LCD TV as my playfield. It's a tight fit on the width of the machine, so I'll have to choose carefully by confirming dimensions (preferably in person with a measuring tape). 1080p 32" LCDs are just becoming common. I prefer a 1080p vs. the 720p resolution to ...

Re: nucore Future Pinball and/or Visual Pinball Support

I've ordered my parts to construct the "playfield" platform. About $100 of parts and presto, I'll have a Pinball 2000 playfield to attach my playfield LCD monitor to. I'm literally using original Pinball 2000 underplayfield parts and I'll cut a piece of plywood to be be my playfield platfo...

Re: nucore Future Pinball and/or Visual Pinball Support

Anyway, I'm guessing the biggest trick for me is going to be to hook up the flippers (and other buttons). Obviously, it would be nice to utilize the one's already built into the Pinball 2000 machine. However, that probably calls for some interfacing I'd have to dig into. I'd expect the Nucore board ...

Re: nucore Future Pinball and/or Visual Pinball Support

Can't sleep.... so here's a tech idea. I was thinking as part of my Nucore installation on Pinball 2000 that if I installed a PC that could dual boot Windows and Linux... that I could either boot to Linux/Nucore or Windows/Future Pinball. For Future Pinball use, I could build a playfield platform to...

Re: Update 02.23.09

Hi Chuck, I've kind of forgotten.... Will nucore include a "video" jukebox as well? I have a nice inventory of YouTube pinball videos (the promo videos, etc.) I've download that I'd like to be able to play on the Pinball 2000 using an included media player. If so, what media player or what...

Re: Update 02.05.09

I've been following the web site and finally had a chance to listen to the Pinball Expo recording where you guys covered Nucore. Keep up the great work and can't wait for the legal aspects to finish being sorted out, so this can officially make it to market. I have RFM and a SWE1 kit so I do hope to...

nucore Future Pinball and/or Visual Pinball Support

I'm just starting to learn about Future Pinball and Visual Pinball. Can't even run them on my current laptop unfortunately. However, I'm intrigued by the idea of being able to a swap out of the playfield on my Pinball 2000 with a large LCD --- just like you can swap out RFM and SWE1 playfields --- a...

P.S. I would pay money for something like this (new game, that is). I'm not sure what the development effort/time would be and obviously the audience is limited to RFM owners, but if 200 owners paid $100 for a new game, would $20,000 make it worthwhile? Heck, I'd pay $200 for a new software game if ...

Well, it could be made into attack from jupiter and change the aliens a bit :) .... OR perhaps Attack from Venus -- with very attractive female aliens :) OR someone could license "Mars Attacks" from the movie studio -- minimal licensing fee at this point? OR ... well you get the idea. I'm ...

nucore production status updates

Alright, someone needed to get this thread going guys! You are supposedly at the 1 year or less countdown to making this available to those of us drooling over the idea of getting nucore for ourselves. How about some regular "production" updates? What volumes are you targeting? How far are...

So do you think any of you or anyone you're aware of would ever create a Attack/Revenge from Mars #3 ? Now THAT would be COOL even if it is still on the same playfield.
