Re: Flip the Desktop
The RandR functionality has to be written into the video driver. As far as I know, none of the "proprietary drivers" (ie nVidia and ATI) support this. If you are using one of these, you are out of luck. When I looked into it, none of the VESA ones did either. Since those are more open sour...

Re: USB board schematic?
Am I the only one that feels this way? I seriously doubt it. Nope, you aren't. But at the same time, consider this: Before the USB board existed, the Nucore software ran on a 3rd party USB hardware dongle. Since using a 3rd party hardware dongle is extremely proprietary and reverse engineering some...

Re: Hmm, what to do...
There is supposed to be a "mirror" command, but from my experience, none of the graphics drivers (in my case - Nvidia) support it. Really annoying, because I'd _love_ to be able to use the linux command shell/GDM. Oh well, I've learned to at least read text backwards pretty well. :P As for...

You do not have to wait for it to show up on the GLM website. Simply send me an email and your zipcode/country etc. and I will be happy to send you a shipping quote and all of the necessary ordering information.

Re: LCD Mounting Kit - Great Lakes Modular
Here are more pictures of the kit. Basically it's an assembly guide if you will so you can see how it should go together and how to install it. It's actually really easy to do and can be done without the need for an assistant. This is the completed frame (without the monitor): http://www.greatlakesm...

Re: LCD Mounting Kit - Great Lakes Modular
Well parts started rolling in early this week but it's taken the whole week to get all of the pieces for the entire package put together! Much of today has been spent getting pictures of everything so that you'll be able to see not only what you are buying but to also see how easily it all g...

Re: Complete LCD Replacement Kit..
Hi Rick, It appears that the kit doesn't use the original installation mounting points. Is this correct? It also appears that the fluorescent light is much lower than where it was originally and isn't lighting the translight correctly. Any particular reason why you chose to alter the location of it?...

Re: Moving back to CRT
While the Dell G2210 sounds good in theory, the only thing that might be bad for a P2K application is the fact that the rear of the unit is not flat. Certainly it's better than some that I looked at with rounded and/or non-linear tapers.

Re: LCD Mounting Brackets - Interest/Sign Up
Thanks for the posts and emails! The kits have been ordered and at worst case, it will be 4 weeks before they are available. I'm trying to get the order expedited to a 2 week turnaround, but there is no guarantee that they will be done in that time frame. Miracleman: Due to the costs that are involv...

Re: LCD Mounting Brackets - Interest/Sign Up
Hi everyone, Here's the latest update: Over the weekend I did some extensive reworking of the LCD mount to make shipping (especially for the international crowd) easier. As such, my original 3 piece design got bumped up to 5 pieces (the fluorescent lighting mounts had to be made separate from the LC...

My current Nucore LCD setup
Hi everyone, I know there are some of you interested in putting an LCD in your game and so I just wanted to share what I did with my machine. This is the monitor I chose for my setup: Acer X223Wbd Black 22" 5ms Widescreen LCD Monitor - Retail SKU: N82E16824009145 $179.99 (from Newegg) The monit...

Re: So, who will be the first to setup their machine?
More LCD fun - I can only assume this issue is because the LCD is 16:9 instead of 4:3. I'm noticing that the on-screen images are not lining up with their appropriate shots. One example is in Paris in Peril where the right and leftmost martians straddle the line between the left loop/ramp shot and ...

LCD Mounting Kit - Great Lakes Modular
Hi everyone, I have been working on an LCD mounting bracket system for some time (with the blessing of the Big Guys) and am nearing completion of the mechanics of everything. As usual, I'm nit-picking over the details, but they will be finalized this weekend and will be sent to the fabricator on Mon...

Re: Update 03.05.09
Are you already figuring ways to improve on it? Not really, no. While I'm sure I could improve the manufacturability of the product (ie make it cheaper to produce), I don't think there's any way to improve on what it actually does at an affordable price, especially when you have stuff like this alr...

Re: Update 03.05.09
It would be exempt from RoHs because it's a replacement part going into a device manufactured before the RoHs initiative took effect.
I like the use of copper pours on the amp board, BTW.
