Not sure if you're still working on it or if there's a bug, but the pre-order section is saying something about bad permissions.

Re: Nucore Pricing 03.10.09
I'll be honest and say that the price is higher than I expected. Not an ungodly amount more, but more. For the $400 price point, I would have expected the audio amp to be part of it. I also assuming that the following recent factors contributed to the price: no longer 100% software due to need for U...

Re: Thinking ahead
1) Ubuntu 8.04 LTS 2) I used a 22" widescreen dell (posted somewhere else in the forum) 3) No problems yet althought ATI video works much better than Nvidia (just a linux thing.) AMD processors seem to run faster than the more expensive Intel processors (trying to verify this.) We will release...

Ok, now that NuCore is close to becoming a reality (now that the issues that were out of your direct control have been solved), a few technical questions. 1. What Linux distro are you guys using for your platform? 2. What size LCD (and model if you have it handy) did you replace the monitor with (De...

Re: Update 03.05.09
So basically the audio/amp board you are showing here is purely to adapt the 1/8", PC audio output to interface with the original stock speakers and sub?
What's the USB part you mention? I assume this is the "stability" part you mentioned before.

Re: Update 03.05.09
I was just told I WILL have what we have been waiting for by the morning and once I do you guys will know. Please don't hold your breath. I don't want any of you to look like Violet Beauregarde. The audio amp is finished (if I didn't tell you before) and the usb board is done and being tested. Don ...

Re: Update 03.05.09
It would be exempt from RoHs because it's a replacement part going into a device manufactured before the RoHs initiative took effect. I like the use of copper pours on the amp board, BTW. :D Tony It isn't always that simple. There are some who claim that the replacement parts have to be original ma...

Re: Update 02.25.09
****It's a pretty common practice with computer games to offer beta testing with pre-orders. Fans get to play whatever game before everyone else. With some games that are nearly finished it can be cool. With ones that are horribly unfinished it's a complete waste of time.**** Yes, that is very true....

Re: Update 02.25.09
When you say buy very soon, does that mean you've decided to skip the "beta" portion? To be honest, you may want to do that as it seems there may be a number of people waiting. However, as a developer, I understand the value of the beta phase when done properly. What you could do is accept...

As an option, no problem. I personally would have no interest in that. When playing the game, I want to hear the game.

Re: POLL: Please give us your 2 cents about a Nucore case
Hey Chuck - what's this custom Nucore board? Is this just for the people who want a drop in so you need the video and audio interface that is non-standard? Or did something change and I missed it? I know one of the main points of Nucore was so that we didn't end up with the same problem we're in now...
