Re: Software startup time

Someone may have installed a BIOS nucore screen. A normal Nucore startup spend an average of 30ish seconds booting linux and 8-10 seconds booting Nucore. If someone wanted to strip down a linux distro the linux boot time can be reduced.

Re: Nucore 2.25 Release!

No problem. I have an ISO of the original install disc. What's a good free service for hosting? Dropbox?

Re: Game sounds, ROMs U109, U110

We read the original data from the sound roms and converted them to samples with no loss of fidelity. The original sound roms aren't used.

Re: On-line Tourney?

We've decided to hold it at this point for a number of reasons. We probably will release it in the future, just not yet.

Re: Telnet commands

Pinball 2000 has a built in terminal server which we do support. Other than that no plans to add additional support at this time.

Re: audio amplifier board

Don sent some to pinball life. Check with Terry. He said he will make more if the demand is there. Probably by pre-order.

Re: Nucore 2.25 Release!

I want to set the record straight on a few things regarding the re-release of Nucore. Once the lawsuit was finalized over the theft of Nucore, Don and I were ready to resume sales. We have spent the last year or so trying to decide how best to handle the new version. We went through every option and...

Re: Nucore USB Device

The original Nvram/protection board did have an external interface. We honestly never had time to implement anything. Don and I have discussed possible hardware additions so the idea is not dead.

Re: Nucore 2.25 Release!

You could read the existing roms with a special rom reader. i can't provide any advice on how to obtain the roms past that.
