Chuck -- Can I buy the SWE1 Playfield off of you if you'd be including all of the electronics that one would find in a "kit"? Or if you end up with another SWE1 "kit", I'd be interested to buy. Sorry, the playfield is sold already. And if that guy backs out I think 3 others are ...

That's a lot of questions ;-) Things you will not need prism card original motherboard original cpu original ram/ps/etc roms -our stance is that you need to own the original roms. We cannot and will not supply roms with this solution. We have built a ROM reader that will allow nucore users the abili...

Wow. It's so nice to see it not stutter the video framerate when the ball is in the pop bumpers! Very encouraging, guys; keep up the good work. -JB I never noticed a frame rate issue while the ball hit the pops. I honestly never paid a ton of attention the video until I started working on this. I w...

I agree about the black rubbers. I just hate a dirty machine though ;-)

The capture lane shots are way better. When I run the original computer it rarely gets a really fast shot. The emulator picks up about 90% of them. I think if I adjusted it a little I might be able to make it 100%

Keep looking. I just picked up an episode one for 1900. I've been looking for a cabinet (just the cabinet) for about 2 years now. I'm selling the playfield and computer and it will become my new test bed. I will install a lcd in the thing too. That's gonna be fun.

Latest build

Our latest major revision of code was done today. Lots of new things went into it. A whole lot of speed optimizations and a few new tricks.

Assuming all goes well this weekend, it's time for another video.

Well I'm a speed freak and I found some compact flash the runs at 40MB/s which is 33% faster than the fastest usb I bought. I'm going to pick one up and buy an ide adapter and see how well it works. I should gather all the usb drives I bought and put them on ebay >.> They are laying all over the hou...

~20GB hard drives can be had free all day long for tech people. You have to compare the price of the drive + the price of the IDE - CF adaptor. That CF adaptor isn't free. Agreed. I have working drives laying around my house that I don't use. But non tech people won't have these. So we have to assu...

pb2k machines have glass that has a graduated tinting on the top of the glass to aid in reflecting the monitor output.

Possible but not optimal. I was thinking a piece of tempered glass with some light tinting (like car window tinting) might work.

What Steve said. I looked at the price of ide drives compared to 4gb usb and cf cards and even the smallest hard drive you can buy seems to run about 3x as much and like steve said it is overkill. Plus a removeable device is easier to update and easier for the user to utilize some of our planned add...

Thats nuts.

I've seen a couple of pb2k systems for sale for 1800ish.

here's what you do. buy one for 1800.

sell the parts on ebay:

prism 1k
original computer with case 400-500 (a guess here)

end up paying 300 for the machine ;-)

as I'm typing this I'm thinking its not a bad idea actually.
