Re: Update 12.27.08

Chuck & team,

Please don't take this the wrong way, but...

Would sticking to the core purpose of the product speed it's availability? Jukeboxes and Easter eggs are nice, but what about a release date?!

Thanks,

Re: LCD Envy

Not Expo, unfortunately, but I am bringing my RFM to CA Extreme this year. It will have the original Wells-Gardner monitor in it, driven via one of those arcade monitor amplifiers from Ultimarc. This monitor is on it's last legs, so I will decide on what to do after CAX. I am willing to be convinced...

Re: LCD Envy

Yes, but it's expensive. Here's the topic: http://www.bigguyspinball.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=298 I personally will not put an LCD in my machine until LCDs can match the black level of a CRT. If you put an LCD monitor in a dark room and then have that monitor show nothing but a black s...

Steve, I thought about the whole jukebox / lightshow ideas and came to realize you could sell a jukebox lightshow designer add-on pack for your product. I envision some sort of editor like they have for those xmas light controllers, where the user defines their own lightshow synchronized to the musi...

Well of COURSE I'm interested! I will help any way I can; just let me know. I really love the RFM game just for the pure creativity that went into it. You guys must share this thought or you wouldn't be doing this project. I think you already have my email, but just in case: JB *at* videoengine *dot...

I read the subject and thought, "YES! I can finally listen to the GAME's music outside the context of a game-in-progress." That's what I would really like; the ability to do a sound test wherein the game's actual entire soundtrack could be played. Much like other pinball titles in test mod...

Wow. It's so nice to see it not stutter the video framerate when the ball is in the pop bumpers!

Very encouraging, guys; keep up the good work.

Nice. Looks like a bit of image tearing in the first screenshot in the red beam.

Lightwave 3D & RFM

Interesting. I am an expert Lightwave user, and I always wondered if that's what was used to render the 3D stuff in the graphics package of RFM. I also wonder why they left out eyeballs on the livestock in the "Big-O-Beam" mode! Whoever set up and rendered the bar scene was pretty good at ...

RFM network card config utility and monitor experiments

Hello, I updated my rudimentary RFM page to include the SMC EZstart utility for the RFM network card, and also several photos of an experiment wherein the RFM computer is connected to a SXGA monitor through a digital scan convertor. http://www.videoengine.com/pins/rfm I'm not sure how Chuck & te...
