Re: RMF sound issues, only during Mothership Multiball

Never heard of that issue. There is a sound issue with some motherboards that seems to happen after the machine is on for long periods of time. The fix is here:

viewtopic.php?f=18&t=1120

Give that a try and see if it fixes it.

Re: Several issues (update NuCore and light error messages

this maybe my first post, BTW loving my RFM on nucore, and have updated to 2.0 tourny mode. I installed leds earlier this week, and now have a ton of lamp errors. Does this mean that I need to manually change a config file? If so, it hardly seems worth the bother. Cheers Glad to hear you're loving ...

Re: Launcher [0] shutdown

Two problems: 1) You can't use Ubuntu 8.10. That's why you're getting the SDL image problem. You must use 8.04. If you can't find it on ubuntu's site message me and I'll send you a link. 2) An Atom processor will not work with Nucore. It is below the minimum specs and could cause problems. Please ch...

Re: Purchasing Nucore

Hello, I am in the process of purchasing my 1st pin 2000 machine and will be upgrading it to Nucore. I wanted to buy the complete kit from Terry @ pinball life and noticed they are out of stock again. When will these be back in stock. Thanks so much for all your hard work keeping pin pin2k alive! Good idea, might be trickier to implement than it sounds. That data is stored in the NVRAM and we don't know exactly where.

Re: Latest Nucore Program File V2.0 - Updated 12.12.10

I give up... how do I access the 'bulb error override' to let Nucore know where I have LEDs installed so it won't show them as bad bulbs anymore? Thanks. Walt, There's a file in the 2.0 deploy called led.cfg (or something close.) This file explains how to set which bulbs are LEDs or not. You can ch...

Re: Any issues with hard shut down?

Should be no problems. We've done a few things to help this issue and cycled machines hundreds of times with no problems. Linux does an automatic disc check every 20 boots I believe. There is a way to override it but it doesn't take long and it's good to run.

Re: System restarting when "shutdown" Jukebox

I was unable to replicate this error. Don said he ran into this error when he did an Ubuntu update after installing Nucore. If you ran an Ubuntu update after installing Nucore you will have to reload Nucore from scratch. Running the update writes over a number of specific libraries that Nucore needs...

Re: System restarting when "shutdown" Jukebox

When I use the jukebox and press the start button, the system is restarting, which may be occurring? Thanks. There are a few reasons this could occur although we haven't had any reports of jukebox issues. 1) A poorly encoded mp3 file. Try deleting all of the mp3 files and just try a couple. Bad mp3...
