Re: Original monitor woes
Hey guys, thought I'd chime in on this subject as I too had this issue with my original WG K7302 CRT and the ArcadeVGA. Here are the symptoms I ran into and the fix. After installing my nucore PC with the AVGA I noticed right away that the pic was way too far to the left during boot as well as in ga...

Re: Original Audio Amp modification to use with Nucore
Doug, The ground loop issue doesn't always occur. I believe it depends on the power supply used in the machine. The original amp received audio data in digital form and decoded it on the amp board. By jacking in to the amp board you are bypassing the digital section and you can get a ground loop si...

Re: Original Audio Amp modification to use with Nucore
Actually I forgot about the ground loop noise that will occur if you use the original amp with the nucore computer power supply so you will need an external computer power supply for sure if you want to use the original audio amp. Just wondering about this ground loop issue when using the original ...

Chuck you tease!!!
Hey Chuck,
Just thought I'd ask what's with the tease post on RGP with the SWep1 button combo? I saw it for like 10 seconds, refreshed and it was gone!

Re: tournament AND webcam support?
wonder if you can make sales with that? That's a good question. More importantly it's the only subsystem we haven't emulated. And if we can meet all of our goals it will be much better than the original. I can say the only reason I haven't purchased Nucore yet is the lack of ethernet support. I've ...

Re: Update 03.06.09
Huge congrats to you guys for sticking with it, and bringing the community a much needed platform. Let's hope all of your hard work pushes someone out there to pickup where WMS left off, and (fingers crossed) release a new p2k game kit in the future!

Re: POLL: Pay for a video converter or replace monitor?
1) LCD con -- Absolutely horrible black level on most LCD's. This ruins the hologram effect in RFM. What happens instead of seeing individual hologram targets, you have a big square image that pretty much shows the player he is looking at a reflected monitor instead of a 'floating hologram'. For st...

Re: POLL: Pay for a video converter or replace monitor?
Hmmm... I'll inquire and let you know. (I think he came up with a mounting solution for a guy I know that has a RFM on route) Rick is a good guy to deal with, and would be a great all-in-one solution for us.

Re: Sound Options
I think for ease of use to the consumer, option #2 would be the best solution (even with the cost adder). I would think that it would / should minimize the number of support emails you would have to deal with.
Me personally, I'll be going with option #3 though.
