About the most extreme thing hardware wise I could see this needing would be maybe some crimping - but a harness adapter isn't hard to have made or make by hand on a low volume product. Hrm. How many completely non tech people can reasonably be expected to use a product like this? I know there are plenty of pin owners who don't know a transistor from a big sister but those are the same guys who would be paying someone like us to set this up for them.

On the playfield glass? Funky, but it makes sense. I still say a good glass shop should be able to reproduce that. It may be spendy, though, to do in small quantities.

Is that the monitor bezel? What could it possibly be that can't be duplicated by a glass shop?

You have to compare the price of the drive + the price of the IDE - CF adaptor. That CF adaptor isn't free.
