Startup times with nucore
I was wondering how long it takes on average to boot up the nucore system. So from the moment you switch on your p2k machine till the moment you can start pinballing. As my system takes (in my opinion) too long to start. Looking for ways to improve the loading times. And I do not want to buy a solid...

Re: Looking for led monitor or lcd
Nice
I also use a samsung LED 22" in my machine. Works very well especially with nucore.
I used to have a cga / vga converter in the middle before I upgraded to nucore and then the blackness was not as good as it is now.
I hope you will enjoy it too!

Re: My monitor just died – need to call upon the experts out the
I put an LCD in mine and used a converter for cga to vga signal. It is not optimal but it works :) You need to fit the lcd in the cabinet yourself and if you are a bit handy you could do it yourself. I used some wood to fixate the screen to. At the moment I am putting in my nucore so no need for the...

Stupid Question
I have a stupid question. Am modifying my p2000 at the moment to have my lcd getting power from the old monitor power cable. However when I use a multimeter to measure if everything is wired OK I get a strange reading. The 2 wires that supply the juice give a short circuit ... Can't believe that tha...

Re: Ubuntu and NIC
I used the driver from the atheros website and it worked like a charm :) Now installing the nucore software. Hopefully this works too Update: Installed the nucore software without issues. One side note, after the cd ran it removed firefox so there is no way to connect to the internet. I had the roms...

Re: Ubuntu and NIC
I have an Atheros chip on my mainboard. So I probably need a different driver.
How can I see which driver is used by Ubuntu? So I can check with other disc I have to see what is used

Ubuntu and NIC
Hi,
I have an Asus P5KPL-AM EPU mainboard and when I use the ubuntu disk bundled with the base package my NIC is not working.
I have also downloaded ubuntu 8.04 for amd64 and running that cd the nic does work. However I was not able to get the nucore up and running.
Am I doing something wrong?

Re: Which PB2k do you own?
I have a full EP1 and RFM playfield / roms / translite etc
Was lucky to buy an RFM kit.
Now looking into transferring to nucore. Ordered computercomponents already and will order the base package in a couple of weeks from now
