Re: Update 10.08.08

Great news, great work!

Can't wait to get a kick out of good news on the license/patent front (especially if it involves bitch slapping a certain, um, "license holder wannabe").

Re: Sound Options

#2 would be fine with me, it's #3 I don't want to mess with.

Sound Options

Somebody mentioned on RGP that the selection of sound hardware is still up in the air.

My vote is for a plug and play solution that works with the stock sound. As it is it sounds pretty good to me and I'd like to minimize wiring hacks and keep the game as original as possible.

Re: The big night!

Eddie, thanks for posting the pics.

Chuck and Don, congratulations for a successful presentation and thanks for sticking it out and giving the talk in spite of the Down Under Dick. It's really difficult to find an adjective that is positive regarding that guy, unlike the BigGuys. You guys are heroes.

Re: Update 09.26.08

Very cool. It sounds like you're wrapping up the coding, now the logistics start.

I'm excited to hear news from the expo session.

Have you already selected alpha testers? How many are lined up?

Re: Update 09.14.08

If you leave it to the software guys the code will never get done.

As a manager told me once, there comes a time when you have to shoot the engineers and ship the product :)

Re: strange stuff going on!

while playing today my machine just froze. crt stayed on playfield shut down, followed buy a reboot. Power surge maybe??? it is hooked up to a line stabilizer/surge protector! A power surge is unlikely, especially if it happens again. It could be about a billion things but here are some obvious pos...

Re: Update 08.02.08

Sounds great, wish I could be there.

Regarding processors, there's no reason why it shouldn't run on an Intel mobo, right?

Re: Update 08.28.08

Ok, obviously a real programmer is in the room =) Not really, I just play one on TV :) Seriously, if you can ship it without any known bugs after testing all along the way you are way ahead of the curve. Like you I hate shipping stuff that's incomplete with known bugs, but management has a differen...

Re: Monitor Poll

A lot of people said that before pinball at the zoo then saw the lcd in person. It's pretty amazing. I have a great RFM monitor too and the two machine are side by side and it's no contest. You coming to expo Kenbo? I wish. No, I'm in programming hell trying to make a pxa270 perform like it was nev...

My RFM monitor is bright and crisp so I can't see changing it.

If it ever dies then I'll probably go LCD.

Re: Update 07.12.08

Congrats! One of the most frustrating things in programming is the elusive bug. Major time can be eaten up on those problems. We've been chasing one like that for a month - you know the kind, it shouldn't happen, we can't see how it can, the user will never see it because there's enough elasticity i...
