I haven't actually touched that machine in a couple of weeks. I may get a chance tonight.

Ok, I fired up my RFM tonight. Do you mean the actual reflection of the translite in the glass or are you getting white light bleeding around the monitor? I had to really look to see the translite. I think you are describing the florescent bulb shining through the edges of the monitor. If so this is a common problem. You can fix it by applying black electrical tape or weather-stripping around the monitor.

LOL, Yes Im talking about the Translight reflection not the light bulb bleeding.

I notice however that If I squat down about 6" then it disappears all together.

I guess the viewer/players height makes a difference! Im 5'11"

I see a reflection right across the middle of the playfield and I cannot see the top monitor at all( which is a good thing).

My GF is 5'4" and she sees the monitor the entire time she plays! I think she needs a platform to stand on

so that she can play without the monitor in her view.

Her view of the game sucks LOL The monitor is distracting.

Squat down to her height and play the game you will see what I am talking about.

I think it has a lot to do with lighting as well --I'm 6'6" and notice it whenever I'm playing with the lights off. When the lights are on, I can't really notice it.

People have solved this problem for DMDs by making some piece of metal that blocks the reflection:

I've hear of others using black cardboard to achieve the same result.

Personally, I think I might just remove my back-light bulb altogether. I'm sick of that florescent whine.
