I recall hearing something in one of the extra clips in Tilt about 14v.

Sorry, I missed this one some how. I don't have the schematic in front of me but as I recall it was 18v. And they do obviously PWM it. So if you use clay's guide to test interfacing make sure you don't just turn a lamp on and leave it on. ;-)
