Monitor Poll

Post by sellenoff »

I'm curious what monitor people plan on using with Nucore. Prefer the vintage look with the original or planning to ramp up to a new lcd?

am curious to know if there are any differences between the image displayed from a CRT and that of an LCD given a CRT has a much higher output and an LCD can have a very much higher resolution. if using a LCD would the video be changed to take advantage of the extra res?

It will vary based on the monitor and the bezel size. There isn't a lot of room to mount a lcd in the existing head without modifying it. I have a dell 22" 16:9 screen in mine and it's perfect

My RFM monitor is bright and crisp so I can't see changing it.

If it ever dies then I'll probably go LCD.

A lot of people said that before pinball at the zoo then saw the lcd in person. It's pretty amazing. I have a great RFM monitor too and the two machine are side by side and it's no contest. You coming to expo Kenbo?

I wish. No, I'm in programming hell trying to make a pxa270 perform like it was never designed to do. Worst Cache Ever!

Since you put the LCD vs. CRT comparison in those terms I'll pick up a 22" Dell LCD, since they're cheap, and save it for NuCore. Heck, I might even use it on my development box until then :)
