Hello,
I acquired nucore and an ASUS PH861-Mlx mother board, everything is fine
installation went more or less fine, i had problems due to outdated version of UBUNTU versus a recent motherboard version, like problems on recognizing sata disc and Ethernet controller, but after scratching a lot in the internet I could fix these two problems, now I have a major problem and it seems that the solution is not an easy one, I can not put audio working!, it seems that ubuntu does not support the audio device, I need advice here please, another motherboard or an external sound card? if external sound card, which one?
Thanks
Sound card drivers
Re: Sound card drivers
Try the audio patch above. It's possible that it will resolve your issue. Sometimes it takes a little digging and possibly building a driver. I don't believe we've ever had a user who couldn't resolve a sound driver issue.
Re: Sound card drivers
Thanks Chuck, but I think you forgot something, a link or an attachment maybe...
meanwhile I solved the problem by using a pci audio card (creative Audigy ZS), I had to change ASUS P8H61-Mlx for ASUS P8H61 which have PCI slots... it seems that most of asus cards uses the unsupported (by alsa drivers) alc887 audio codec.
