Re: Low Frame Rate
Good to know. I read up on that processor and they do try to sell it as a reasonable cpu. Seems like an Atom class processor.

Re: Low Frame Rate
That shouldn't be an issue. Although I've never heard of anyone using that processor. We use 32 bit Ubuntu.

Re: Low Frame Rate
That processor should be fast enough to run Nucore. I would suggest looking at BIOS settings for auto-throttling. Some of these new processor run really slow unless they sense a load. Other than that check drivers. Possibly try another install.

Re: NuCore 2.0 won't install, won't detect USB drive
1) The zip file needs to be extracted. 2) Linux doesn't recognize USB drives formatted on a Macintosh (OSX.) You can format on a pc and copy software or music to the thumb drive and that will work. 3) The unzipped files need to be in the root directory of the USB device. Hopefully one or more of the...

Re: Can't get Linux disc to read....and tried to download 8.
This is most likely due to an ethernet driver issue. I googled the issue and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't (even with the latest Ubuntu.) This will probably fix the issue viewtopic.php?f=18&t=941

"reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key"
Is that after it attempts to load for a while or do you get that message immediately?

Re: Can't get Linux disc to read....and tried to download 8.
Mike, I sent you an email. I will post a copy below. Sorry you’re having issues. That version of linux has very picky code for reading drives. We have to burn the discs at the lowest possible speed in order to make them work properly. Download the iso from this link - (link removed - contact us if y...

Rockmang15 has a good equipment list. There is a bios update you'll want for that motherboard. I'll be posting it on the download section of the site this weekend.

Re: Sound card drivers
Try the audio patch above. It's possible that it will resolve your issue. Sometimes it takes a little digging and possibly building a driver. I don't believe we've ever had a user who couldn't resolve a sound driver issue.

Re: Nucore Boot-up
The system isn't able to communicate with the driver board if you are frozen here. Have you tried hitting the flipper button to see if the game changes? If nothing changes make sure the parallel port is properly connected and that the parallel port is set to port 378 in bios.
